Series:
Part 1 of sing to us the one with violets in her lap
Summary:
You want to be selfish.
Your fingers burn and twitch with it as her face continues to be shrouded from your eyes. All of your body is screaming to just do it and pull it back, finally sating your desire to see your old friend’s face.
(You idly wondered if her cheeks ever lost that baby fat she always complained about. If her face sharpened like her father’s or rounded like her mother’s. Did she inherit the latter’s pert nose? Or a straight one like the former?
A thought enters your mind of you leaning in and kissing a pale cheek and seeing how she flushes, beautifully and enticingly. You grit your teeth at that and turn away.)
But no. Donna may be an old friend, yes, but she is now your employer and you can’t ruin the tentative companionship the two of you have at the moment with your selfish impulses.
Or,
Gardener!Reader falls in love with the mysterious Lady Beneviento, who was once a close friend when they were younger, but like many things in this world tragedy and life got in the way. Now they’ve reunited.
